Da Trooth
Born in 1977 in Cologne, DJ Da Trooth discovered his passion for DJing at just 14 years old. Behind two second-hand replicas of the legendary Technics MK2, his journey began with a clear mission: bringing New Jack Swing, R&B and hip-hop from the 90s into German clubs.
What started with simple gear grew into a signature style. As a hip-hop DJ, R&B DJ and New Jack Swing DJ in one, DJ Da Trooth blends 90s R&B, hip-hop, New Jack Swing and dancehall into high-energy sets that refuse to sit inside rigid genre lines – his goal isn't just to play music, but to create atmosphere.
More Than a DJ - A Selector With a Feel for the Moment
DJ Da Trooth doesn't work off a fixed playlist. He reads the room, feels the crowd's energy, and decides in the moment which sound comes next. From smooth R&B classics to raw hip-hop and Caribbean dancehall vibes, his sets are constantly evolving - every transition, every track and every mood becomes part of a musical story, skillfully woven together with his own productions. His sound is authentic, versatile and full of character.
Comeback as DJ & Producer
In 2019, DJ Da Trooth largely stepped back from the active DJ scene to focus on his personal life. But music never truly let him go: in 2025, inspired by his son, he returned to the decks and simultaneously opened a new chapter as a producer. Today, he combines decades of experience as a DJ with fresh musical energy - his own productions and releases are available on all major music and streaming platforms.
